SIAMS
As a church school we also have a SIAMS inspection (‘Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools’)
A SIAMS inspection focuses on the impact of the Church school's Christian vision on pupils and adults. This involves looking at the school’s Christian vision, the provision the school makes because of this vision and how effective this provision is in enabling all pupils to flourish.
The SIAMS Framework 2023 shines a spotlight on 3 key elements - theology, school context and vision. Inspection questions will investigate 'Who we are?', 'What we are doing here?' and 'How then shall we live and learn together?'
One overall grade is awarded reflecting the contribution of these questions to the flourishing of pupils and adults in a Church school.
St George's last SIAMS Inspection (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) was held on 10th July 2017.
The distinctiveness and effectiveness of St George's as a Church of England School was judged to be outstanding in all areas. The full report can be read below.
