Mr Long leaving St George's in July 2017

10th February 2017

Dear Parents and Carers,

It is with mixed emotions that I write to inform you that Mr Long will be leaving us at the end of this academic year.

As a governing body, we are sad to see Mr Long go as he has done so much for this school, its children, parents and staff in the seven years that he has been Head. St George's today lives and breathes our school values and all that they mean and this results in the most wonderful, warm and caring environment for you and your children where every child matters. This fact is very much down to Mr Long, his vision for our school and his personal and professional commitment to us.

We are however, also excited for him as he moves to Radnage Church of England Primary School in September as we know that he will rise to this fresh challenge and that he will do wonderful things there. They are very lucky to have him and we wish him every success in his new role.

The process of recruiting a new Head Teacher is now underway and when we have further updates for you, we will write to you again. In the meantime, rest assured that the governing body will do everything in its power to ensure that St George's gets the Head Teacher that it deserves.

Kind regards,

Louise Brosnan

Chair of Governors
