History
History at St George’s brings the past to life through stories, enquiry and first-hand experiences. In EYFS, children learn about their own families and traditions; in KS1, they explore significant people, events and changes over time. Our local history, including Amersham’s heritage, is celebrated alongside wider national and global histories. Children are encouraged to ask questions, compare past and present and reflect on how history shapes identity and community. Spirituality and diversity are woven throughout, helping children to value different perspectives and understand their place in time.
