Mathematics at St George’s provides children with the secure foundations they need to succeed across the curriculum. From early counting and shape recognition in EYFS to problem-solving and reasoning in KS1, our curriculum (built around White Rose Maths) is carefully sequenced and ambitious for all learners. Children are encouraged to persevere, take risks and apply knowledge to real-life contexts. Mathematics at St George’s nurtures confidence and curiosity, enabling children to learn from mistakes, achieve highly and develop a lifelong enjoyment of the subject.
