Writing
Writing at St George’s enables children to find their voice, communicate ideas and develop creativity. From mark-making and storytelling in EYFS to writing across genres in KS1, children build secure knowledge of grammar, punctuation and structure. Vocabulary is taught across the curriculum to continuously expand children’s language. We nurture resilience and pride, encouraging children to see themselves as authors with something valuable to say and through the power of editing. Writing celebrates individuality, links to our locality and inspires children to achieve with confidence.
