Inspire, Believe, Achieve-Let your light shine.
I am delighted to introduce St George’s Church of England Infant and Preschool to you. As Head Teacher I warmly welcome you on behalf of the children, staff and governors to our Church school, serving the community of Amersham.
Our vision, 'Inspire, Believe, Achieve-Let your light shine' Matthew 5 v16 underpins and encompasses life at St George's. We understand that our purpose is to inspire your children, ensure they believe in themselves so they can achieve their full potential and flourish. We provide a supportive and nurturing school community where children grow and learn in an inclusive environment. We believe that Infant education is essential for a child to have the best start in their school life in order to develop into a well rounded adult. It is during these early years of children’s education that characters are formed and we believe that St George’s Church of England Infant and Preschool is wonderfully equipped to achieve this goal. Ofsted and the Church School Inspectors agree!
We are very proud of our school. The progress, well being and enjoyment of our pupils is paramount to us. We aim for each child to reach his or her full potential and leave St George’s equipped as life long learners, eager to enjoy life, with a love for learning, take responsibility as citizens and always strive for excellence. Children achieve very well, making excellent progress in each year group. Our end of key stage 1 data consistently shows our children achieve excellent standards in reading, writing and maths, when compared to other Bucks schools.
We are a small and friendly infant school and hope to welcome your family’s involvement in school life. We look forward to meeting you on informal and formal occasions and working with you for the benefit of your child. Strong links between home and school are extremely important and positively benefit a child's personal and academic success.
